WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL

NEW FAMILIES

At Peter Pan school we do our best to welcome students from other cultures and their families. Tutorial action, personalised and inclusive attention, mentoring among students and the “Aula d’acollida” (Welcoming Classroom) create an appropriate atmosphere for their adaptation to the new environment. As for the families, we help them to adapt to our city and offer them tailored information, whenever this is possible. Communication with the new families can be in Catalan, Spanish or English.

IN-HOUSE KITCHEN

SCHOOL KITCHEN

The school offers all families a lunchtime break service, which includes lunch and playtime with specialised educators. We have our own kitchen and all meals are cooked on our premises every morning. We offer varied menus, adapted to every age and situation (allergies, intolerances, etc.), that promote healthy habits and a well-balanced diet. In the afternoon, younger children have a snack with their teachers and the school benefits from a special programme of the Generalitat de Catalunya that promotes local products (fruit and milk several afternoons a week).

You can check the school menus at Families

FROM HOME TO SCHOOL

SCHOOL BUS

We are close to our families. We offer a school bus service (mornings and afternoons) that covers virtually the whole city of Barcelona, adapted to the needs of our families. We take safety seriously and children are always accompanied by educators.

Peter Pan School also has excellent public transport connections and the city centre and the Vallès area are within easy reach by bus (V9 right at the door, H2, V7 and H4) and Metro (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat).

PERSONALISED ATTENTION

PSYCHOPEDAGOGICAL ATTENTION AND SPEECH THERAPY

We work with an educational psychologist who comes to our school every week. The coordination between therapist, family and school allows us to pay close attention to the needs of our students in order to offer them strategies for their personal growth and to improve learning abilities.

We also offer, in agreement with the child’s family, speech therapy sessions when they are needed, led by specialists.

LIKE A FISH IN WATER

SWIMMING

From P5, our children start to swim at the sports facilities across the street (Jesuïtes de Sarrià School). All our students enjoy a weekly session of water games and swimming technique, adapted to every age and level.

WHERE LEARNING MEETS FUN

AN UNFORGETTABLE SUMMER

ENGLISH SUMMER CAMP

For many years, the school has been organising an English Summer Camp: nature and sports activities in English for children from 3rd to 6th grade. Our main Summer Camp objectives are:

· To speak and interact in English. The staff in charge and the sports instructors speak in English during the activities: workshops, lunch & dinner time, sports & adventure activities, etc.

· To improve language proficiency by playing games and participating in dynamic activities that combine learning and fun.

· To learn how to interact with classmates in a respectful, collaborative way and acquire healthy habits and personal autonomy.

· To enjoy nature activities, adapted to each age group: trekking, clue games, water activities, biking, orienteering, etc.
